Cookie policy

How yourwork.place uses cookies under UK PECR and UK GDPR.

Last updated 7 October 2026

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small files stored on your device. UK law (the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations — PECR — alongside UK GDPR) says we must tell you about cookies, explain why we use them, and get consent before setting any that are not strictly necessary.

When you first visit, a notice lets you accept optional cookies, reject them, or choose by category. Strictly necessary cookies run either way because the site cannot work without them. You can change your mind at any time via Cookie settings in the footer.

2. Cookies we use

We do not currently set analytics, advertising or social-media tracking cookies. If we add any later, they will be off by default until you opt in, and this table will be updated.

CookieCategoryPurposeHow long
oc_sessionStrictly necessaryKeeps you signed in to a workplace, staff account, demo or the desk.30 days
oc_consentStrictly necessaryStores your cookie choices so we do not ask on every visit.12 months
oc_colourPreferencesRemembers the colour theme you picked on the designs preview.12 months

Our hosting and application stack may also set short-lived cookies that are strictly necessary to deliver the page securely (for example to route a request or protect a form). Those are not used to profile you.

3. Your choices

  • Reject optional cookies — we will only use strictly necessary cookies, including the one that remembers this choice.
  • Accept all — we may also set preference cookies such as colour theme.
  • You can also block cookies in your browser. If you block strictly necessary cookies, sign-in and some features will not work.

We keep your cookie choice for 12 months, then we will ask again. That consent record is stored in the oc_consent cookie.

4. More information

Personal data collected via cookies is also covered by our Privacy Policy. For questions, email privacy@yourwork.place. Guidance on cookies is published by the ICO at ico.org.uk.
